Robinson Cano has been severely scorching American League pitching since the calendar flipped to July. The Mariners second baseman has been steady all season long, but his current torrid stretch is jaw dropping. Since July 1, Cano is hitting .374 and reaching base at a .459 clip, which are both league bests. He has hit three home runs and 10 doubles while driving in 16.

He is having a season that places him with the offensive elite in the American League.

In historical terms, there have only been three other Mariners who have managed seasons with a batting average over .330 and a plus-.400 on-base percentage.
