Christine Michael to miss Seahawks’ preseason finale

RENTON – Christine Michael’s goal of getting a running start to the season hit a speed bump this week as a sore hamstring will keep him out of the Seahawks’ preseason finale.

Demitrius Bronson was back on the practice field for the Seahawks Wednesday, two days after he was let go as the team trimmed the roster to 75 players. Bronson went to Kentwood High School, transferring to Eastern Washington to play his final three seasons after beginning his college career at Washington.

Offensive lineman Greg Van Roten was let go to make room for Bronson on the roster.

Defensive lineman Tony McDaniel has also been held out of practice this week, which Carroll said was to rest his knee.

Receiver Percy Harvin was absent from practice on Tuesday and again Wednesday, which Carroll said was due to a personal matter.

Receiver Bryan Walters, who sat out last week’s game with sore ribs, will be available on Thursday for Seattle’s preseason finale in Oakland and could return both punts and kickoffs.
