With the beginning of another NFL season approaching, The Groz and Chris Cashman want to keep listeners on top of their game. So we welcomed to the show Mike Sando, who covers the NFC West for ESPN.com.

Mike touched on the salary cut that Leroy Hill took, saying that doing so is “an accurate reflection of where he is at in his career.”

Another topic was Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart being pulled from the starting lineup. Mike told us that when he went to the Cardinals’ training camp, he was looking to see “does Leinart look the part? Does he make you say wow, this is the guy! I never saw that.”
