Wednesday Rewind: Tim Kurkjian says Joey Cora would be a good fit for M’s manager

ESPN baseball analyst Tim Kurkjian discussed the open managerial spot for the Mariners and threw around a couple of names that he thought would be a good fit. He speculated Bobby Valentine, a rumored canditate, would not be the manager next year. Kurkjian’s top prospects were former Mariner player and current Chicago White Sox bench coach Joey Cora and and San Diego Padres bench coach Ted Simmons.

Seahawks cornerback Kelly Jennings talks about the opening game against the San Francisco 49ers and the challenges the defensive backs will face. Also, he talks about the leadership of Lawyer Milloy and his eagerness to get more interceptions and make improvements in his overall game.

 

Seattle Times reporter Bob Condotta analyzed the Huskies’ loss to BYU last weekend and what it means for Jake Locker’s future. He also discussed what the Huskies must do in order to beat Syracuse this Saturday in UW’s home opener.
