Wednesday Rewind: Chuck Nelson thinks Heisman hype affected Locker

Today’s show was broadcasted live from the VMAC for a special edition of the “Seahawks Huddle.” At the beginning of the show we joined in on coach Pete Carroll‘s weekly press conference where we learned linebacker Leroy Hill has an injured achilles, putting him out of action indefinitely. Later, the Groz ranted about Jets head coach Rex Ryan‘s comments on how Braylon Edwards is “embarrasing the organization.”

Seahawks’ receiver Ben Obomanu doesn’t mind playing on special teams so long as he gets to play.

Huskies commentator Chuck Nelson thinks the Heisman expectations for quarterback Jake Locker affected his ability on the field. “His thought process was not as linear and as measured as it needs to be to play that position in a game like that. I think that was largely Heisman pressure driven, I got a sense that he played like it got to him.”
