Friday Rewind: David Hawthorne previews the Chargers

Linebacker David Hawthorne was our “Surprise Hawk of the Week” on today’s show. Hawthorne gave us a preview of what to expect this weekend against the San Diego Chargers.

“San Diego’s a good consistent ballclub. They have alot of weapons as far as the offense goes with (Antonio) Gates, (Darren) Sproles and (Legadu) Naanee. They are a pretty well-rounded group that we are going to have to be fundamentally sound against.”

 

 

ESPN senior NFL analyst John Clayton previewed Week 3 games from around the league including “The Battle of Texas” between the Cowboys and Texans, and a huge NFC South matchup in New Orleans as the Saints host the Falcons.

 

UCLA play-by-play announcer Chris Roberts joined the Groz to talk about the Bruins new pistol offense and how they will matchup against the seventh-ranked Texas Longhorns tomorrow afternoon.

 

Chuck Cooperstein of ESPN Dallas gave his take on the struggling Cowboys, the hype surrounding fourth-ranked TCU, and the impact Mavs owner Mark Cuban has on the sporting world.
