4/12: Patriots reportedly hosting Jake Locker

–James Walker of ESPN.com reports that according to sources the Patriots are hosting a two-day visit Tuesday and Wednesday with Jake Locker . New England has the 17th and 28th overall picks in the draft.

710 ESPN Seattle’s Jim Moore writes that he hopes the Seahawks don’t take a QB with the 25th pick. The Go 2 Guy would prefer an offensive lineman like Mike Pouncey of Florida.

–Dave Boling of The Tacoma News Tribune writes about how Rob Rang has become one of the more recognizable draft analysts in the country. By day, Rang teaches world history at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma.

–Kirby Arnold of The Everett Herald checks in with Mariners catcher Adam Moore, who doesn’t seem optimistic about the meniscus tear he suffered last week. Moore: “I had a meniscus tear in 2003 on my left knee when I was in college and never had any more issues. But it was a minor tear and I was back within four weeks. This one feels completely different. With the other one, I could walk and actually could have played on it, it was that minor. This one, I can’t even walk right now. But I’m hoping for the best.”

710 ESPN Seattle’s Mike Salk writes about the two things he liked most in the Mariners’ 8-7 come-from-behind win over the Blue Jays on Monday.

–Jayda Evans of The Seattle Times writes that Courtney Vandersloot of Kentwood High School and Gonzaga is the highest WNBA selection in Washington State history. Vandersloot was taken third by the Chicago Sky on Monday.
