4/13: Mixed opinions on Qwest Field surface

–Geoff Baker of The Seattle Times writes that the Mariners will have some tough roster decisions when David Aardsma and Franklin Gutierrez come off the DL. Baker: “The real tough one here is (Michael) Saunders, who had hits in four of his last five games before going 0-for-3 yesterday. He’s still hitting just .227 overall, but his bat seems to be responding to added playing time.”

–Kirby Arnold of The Everett Herald writes that Gutierrez could begin his rebab stint with the Tacoma Rainiers on Friday.

–Don Ruiz of The Tacoma News Tribune writes that Sounders FC forward Fredy Montero may not return to the starting lineup even though he says his wrist is healed.

–Mike Sando of ESPN.com writes that while the FieldTurf surface at Qwest Field is drawing complaints from the Sounders, most players on the Seahawks don’t have a problem with it.

–Don Banks of SportsIllustrated.com has the Seahawks taking TCU quarterback Andy Dalton with the 25th pick.
