Husky football will open season Friday, Sept. 4 at Boise State

Washington will play its 2015 football season opener at Boise State on Friday, Sept. 4, airing on ESPN, the program announced Monday.

The game will mark the return of Huskies coach Chris Petersen to Boise, where he coached the Broncos to two undefeated seasons during his tenure from 2006 to 2013. It will be the first trip to Albertson’s Stadium for UW, which has a 2-1 record against the Broncos – regular-season wins in 2007 and 2013 in Seattle, and a loss in the 2012 Vegas Bowl.

The game’s kickoff time is still to be determined.
