Nate Burleson and Patrick Kerney Keeping In Touch
August 12, 2009 6:29 pmSeahawks Nate Burleson and Patrick Kerney both joined us on the show today to talk about their progress thus far this training camp.
Burleson talked about how hard it was to be part of the team while injured last year, saying, “It’s just not the same. When you walk into the locker room or you walk into the facility and they’re(the team) ready to practice and you have to do rehab it’s not the same kind of cameraderie. And you go to the games, you’re sitting in the stands, you’re not on the sideline because you have a brace on your leg, it’s just really not the same feeling( as being on a team while healthy and playing).”
Burleson also talked about how the addition of receiver T.J. Houshmanzadeh will help him, saying, “He’s gonna actually push me to be better than what I want to be.”
To hear the full interview listen here.
Kerney also talked about how tough it was for him being injured last year, saying, “IR(Injured Reserve) is mentally brutal.”
Kevin commented on Kerney looking a lot bigger than last year and Kerney explained why, saying, “This is always the time of year where I’m bulkiest, where I’ve been able to hit the weight room hard, and where the season hasn’t worn me down.”
