The Mariners can check one more item off their post-Holidays to-do list as the team has avoided arbitration with outfielder Leonys Martin, signing him to a one-year deal that Jon Heyman reports to be worth $4.15 million.

Martin, who was first-year arbitration eligible, earned $3.75 million as a member of the Texas Rangers in 2015. He receives a modest bump in salary after injury and a poor offensive showing last year. He is currently playing winter ball for Licey in the Dominican League, hitting .360/.441/.941 in 50 at-bats in 14 postseason games.

The Mariners have two arbitration-eligible players remaining: Charlie Furbush and Evan Scribner.
