Seahawks’ Frank Clark rips Cam Newton for effort on fumble

In addition to the way he handled himself during his postgame media session, Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was criticized for one play in particular during Carolina’s loss to Denver in Super Bowl 50.

Seahawks defensive end Frank Clark, for one, was so unimpressed with what he and others perceived as a lack of effort on Newton’s part in going after a fourth-quarter fumble that he posted a video of the play on Twitter with his own commentary.

Here’s a link to the tweet and video, which contains a pair of expletives.

“That boy a b—-!,” Clark says as the slow-motion replay shows Newton pulling back after starting to go after the loose ball. “Can’t wait to play his punk a–.”

Seattle will host Carolina next season. The Panthers beat the Seahawks in October and again in the divisional round of the playoffs in 2015, which was Clark’s rookie season.

The text accompanying Clark’s first tweet read, “This y’all league MVP!!! Really!!!!”
